Size the workload
Record your application stack, average and peak traffic, memory use, database size, and growth expectations. Load-test a representative environment before choosing a configuration.
Compare the complete cost
Ask about CPU allocation, usable storage, transfer allowances, IP addresses, operating-system licensing, backups, support, taxes, and renewal terms. A low base price is only one part of the decision.
Test from your users’ networks
Measure latency from the cities and access networks your users actually use. A Mumbai location alone does not guarantee a particular response time.
Agree on ownership
Document who patches the operating system, protects administrative access, monitors incidents, and restores backups. Request written service terms.
